  • Ensure the supply of products/services such as enrolling you on our courses or membership successfully

  • Keep records of your purchase for ongoing support, for example, providing accreditation information, dates of study. 

  • Keep records of your purchase for any potential legal claims against our company.

 

Our lawful grounds for processing the data outlined in 1-4 is our legitimate interests to provide products/services to our customers, to better meet our customers needs and to  grow our business successfully. 

 

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity.

 

5. Sensitive data

 

What is it?

Sensitive data includes information about your ethnicity. We do not capture data on your sexual orientation, religious beliefs or your health data or any information about previous criminal convictions.

How do we use it?

To monitor our social impact and ensure we meet our commitment to support a diverse customer base we may send you social impact evaluation surveys which capture your ethnicity. This will always be captured by explicit consent from you and you always have the option to deny the provision of this information and this data is always captured anonymously. We process this data to include in social impact reporting. 

 

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

When you are using our secure payment gateway, your donation is processed by a third party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. If you have any questions regarding secure transactions, please contact us.

We may share your information with third parties that provide IT services for our website support.

 

Your legal rights to your data

We will never contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent.

Data protection laws in the UK provide you with the right to request access to, the correction of, the erasure of and the objection to processing your data at any time.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information The Social Club hold about you (we may charge £10 for information requests) to cover our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Correction of your data

The accuracy of your information is important to us. We’re working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you. In the meantime, if you change email address or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at join@thesocialclubuk.com 

Erasure of your data 

You have the right to request that we delete all data held on you. Please email us at join@thesocialclubuk.com should you wish this.

Objection to processing your data

If you no longer wish to receive marketing communications about our products and services, then you can select your choices by ticking the relevant boxes situated on the form on which we collect your information. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or by emailing us at join@thesocialclubuk.com

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Any sensitive information (such as credit or debit card details) is encrypted and protected with the following software 128 Bit encryption on SSL. When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on the bottom of web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.
